Located at the narrowest part of the island, only about 2.5 km from the west to the east coast, protected by the wall of rocks (La pared) Costa Calma (the quiet coast) is placed at the side protected from wind, at a distance of only 64km from the International Airport of Fuerteventura.
In the core of the south area of the island, Costa Calma is very famous for its tourists-business.. Every year more than 300.000 people choose this area of the beach, in order to spend their holidays on these whitesandy beaches of many kilometres length, that fall softly into the sea. Costa Calma has a position which posesses the four most famous beaches of the island: “El Granillo”, “Sotavento”, “Esmeralda”, and “La Barca”.
Considering the protection of the environment a new high level residential area was established at the Costa Calma. The good infrastructure and the public and private services have made this part to one of the most estimated holiday places of the Canary Islands, including everything of importance for a beautiful holiday.
In the heart of the south of Fuerteventura placed at the beach of La Barca are the apartments of Playa Paraiso, surrounded of the Natural Park of Jandia. With respect to nature protection only a golfcourse and watersport facilities on the beach are permitted next to the Playa Paraiso according to the building plans. |
